Thinking thing over before I start....

#1 PostAuthor: dixiethedog » Mon Feb 16, 2009 1:37 pm

First part of my project involves surgery to me,to give me a new hip!! Because Im not able to lift things, and move as well as I should,Ive probably spent a long time thinking things over, but Im still not sure what to do??
The pic of the z1000r ,is of a bike I bought the frame (only). Its been raked, and the rear frame has been notched to allow a 6inch+ rim to be used, without the chain hitting it.

Ive managed to get 2 sets of bodywork for it,one set to go ELR green, other set to either go white,as pic or red ala gpz1100??

I have in the storage places around tyneside, amongst other things a gsxr11 swingarm converted to twin shock,a deep brace JMC,off a gpz1100b1,and cant decide if with a raked front end,i should just stick with a normal length arm,or (do as i would normally do),go stupid length with long swingarm??

I plan to make the bike very low,I'll finish making the MR turbo style stainles steel headers i started making years ago,and run a highish level exhaust.

The best thing for the 330 tyre is to fit it to my second efe,as I love the back light!

Forgot to mention,Ive a Gpz unitrac, which to be honest, last time I looked at it at least was very clean and tidy, would it be a worth while effort to lose the bodywork and fit either z1000 mk2 body parts,or fit z1r tank, new subframe for a shorter seat and go the similar direction as pic below, which I think is one of the horniest bikes Ive set eyes on!

Bloody hell a 360!! Cool. I was actually at the Doncaster custom show about 3yrs ago,I had already bought the 330,when we went into the bike park, spotted a vrod with a 360. My stomach sunk as I realised I should have bought one of them! Now Im not sure if I should have perhaps gone for a 240/18?? However, the good bit,I got the ferrari split rims for a swap of some spare 3spoke wheels and 30 crisp english pounds.

Don't worry about the hip, i have just had mine done in Oct and was out on the GPz1100 on Saturday totally pain free!
I couldn't do much bike work during the convalescence but it was worth it for the new freedom from pain!

Dixie, shouldn't you be wearing a proper smoking jacket to go with your pipe and cravat   :?:  :??
The frame you've got is from the bike that Pete at YRS broke last year.
Good look with the HIP-HOP
