i have a head like that one that im rebuilding,but someone says it is a mk11 head,whats the difference then,
am near that point of rebuild that you seem to be at,(ant painted mine yet)
has that head got cracks were the plug goes.

This is a 1973 head mid run, there are a whole bunch of differences between this and Z1A & Z1B heads, and the earlier '72 head. Post some images of the fins taken lookiing inot the carb inlets and from underneath and if its a 900 head I should be able to tell you.

No cracks on this head at all its perfect. When you say MKII do you mean a Z1000 MKII or have a second generation of Z1 head.
