Hi everyone

Hello all

Just a few words to introduce myself to you all.....

I've been into bikes a long time and Kawasakis in particular; I've had a Gpz1100 back in the distant past, a ZZR1100, and currently a ZZR14 (getting on a bit) and a 1973 Z1 which I managed to get about 3 years ago, which needs some work done.

I live in South Wales and have worked in the NHS since 1977 as a Biomedical Scientist, I semi-retired last year, so now have a bit more time to work on the Z1. I can twiddle a spanner, but I'm not that clever mechanically, so I may be asking for advice, probably after I've broken something.

Thanks all
Kevin

We tend to like Z1's here (Strangely) so some pic's of said 73 is compulsory.

Welcome along Kevin, nice to see some pics of the 73 if you get round to it. How do you get on with the zzr14? Which year is it? Sorry, some of us like other models too.

Thanks for all the welcome messages. In reply to Redbreard, the ZZR24 is a 2006 model, the first version. A complete contrast to the Z1, loads of power, good handling (for a heavy bike) and quite comfy. I suppose 30 odd years if bike development show.

I'll try and get a picture of the Z up on the site for you to see
Thanks

Kevin
