Chris, the biking scene here, is totally different in so many ways. The main difference is the weather, which for many of the provinces means that riding season could be 6 months or less. Vancouver is probably the closest, weather wise to the uk and has a longer season. This means that most people don't buy a bike for transport and pleasure, they buy it purely for pleasure. Also, the roads here are (in my opinion at least living in Ontario) pretty boring, being flat and usually straight (no mid corner Kawasaki weave when braking on a pre GPZ Kawasaki!!!).

As for the old Z's, I came here in 87 and I bet I have not seen more than 5 or so since arriving, with not one of them being a Z1 or a Z1R. If you go onto eBay Canada and search only for bikes in Canada it's pretty slim pickings for pre 78 bikes.

If I had just one penny for the times I have wished that I never sold AFT 420V!!!. I did buy an A2 fairly recently that I should get bAck on the road again. It's all original but not having run for mainly years it needs some talc.
