It's me again. We have progress . The My Information bit tells me I'm now a paid up member , big thanks to whoever did that . However , I still can't access the owners club members area . I'm only a country bumpkin, let me in , it's cold out here !

Testing your permissions it’s visible ok, can you still not see it?

Nope. My information box says Pum . Next box down is Online users . My name is listed as a registered user . Go to members only section and I get " Certain areas of the site are only available to registered users and some to paid up members "

Have you filled in your postcode in your profile?

Try now If that fails log out delete your browser short cut to the site search again and login

Double checked everything. ( well Mrs crossthread did ) Postcode in profile , Short cut deleted , logged out , back in , and --------- nowt !!!! Wish I'd joined online , It might have been easier . Any other suggestions gratefully accepted.

just a thought but are you sure that the “members area”is not just collapsed? Does it appeared “ghosted”
is there a cross on the far RHS of the" members area heading" ? if so click it, it may expand

I'm a happy man. I logged in this evening and it works as it should. A big thank you to those who helped and offered advice . A pint on me if we ever meet.

Don't want to threadjack, but could somebody sort out the permissions for me too please?
I'm showing as a PUM, but can't access the member sections of the forum (in fairness, I only joined on Weds!).

Still no luck I'm afraid.
I can get a stage further now, in that I can see all of the folder names.
But when I try to get into a members area folder to read threads then I still get the same message:

"Sorry. You cannot read topics within this part of the forum.
Certain areas of the site are only available to registered users and some to paid up Z1OC Members."

All sorted now thanks to Keith
