Paul, yeah, that's me - nice to meet you yesterday :-)

It's still running badly, but re-doing the points has helped a lot, and the flat-spot's not half as bad as it was, plus it starts on the button too, so we're getting there. Now I have a jerky misfire from 1,000 up to 4,000, but only under light load, if I nail it, it's fine, so I'll put that out here to the knowledgeable ones and see if this situation rings any bells. As it seems like all four pots are missing (as if you were twatting around with the kill switch really quickly).

Given that 2 pots are firing together, I'm leaning towards the coil-to-ht-lead connections, as I've had the cam cover off and probably disturbed a connection.

Are the HT leads permanently attached to the coil at the coil end? Looks like they're glued in.

Any other ideas, people?

HT leads and coils are one piece. Check your wiring connections ?
