Hello for Edmonton, Alberta

#1 PostAuthor: HAJL65 » Wed Sep 26, 2018 2:50 am

I am new to the forum and have joined the Z1OC. I have owned a 75 Z1B since March of1975. I bought the year I graduated from the technical college in Calgary. Back them I modified it quite a bit by adding a second disc brake, different shocks, a Kerker exhaust, boring it out to 1013cc, different cams, stiffing the swing arm and the list goes on. In 2011 I searched out and found another 75 Z1B on an acreage about 200 miles south of here. It was in bad shape but it was a Z1! The exhaust and gas tank were rusted out, the carbs seized, disc brake fluid not there, tires and chain worn out. I bought and obtained most of the parts I needed to restore it. Got it to pass our Dept. of Motor Vehicles inspection in 2016. Its engine number is kind of unique in that it is Z1E075903 which of course it is a 1975 with 903cc displacement.
