Hi there new here just joined the Z ranks I have purchased a 78 Z1R and will be doing a sim pathetic Reston on it. Looking forward to learning and chatting also I need some info if possible on it as it has a really low frame number so just need a little more info

It’s in okay condition got a frame number of 00043 so it’s very early

hi n welcome to the forum, the brakes look a bit spongy!! seriously though you'll find a wealth of free info here from good friendly peeps so don't be afraid to ask away:that's a nice find mate:what's its previous? I'd guess by the old pirelli phantoms?? its been laid up somewhere for yonks? n you have had a result! as you said it's early indeed the obvious missing bits are easy to find so you should be ok. cheers m. You can find a lot of inormation in Tony Sculpher's book "Kawasaki (K)Z1000 z1-R".
In it you can find very practical information about the history of your bike and a lot of tips and tricks on how to restore it.
