New to the Z world , just recently i was entrusted the bike from a good friend that was 25 years in his possession as he was the second owner, hope to keep her for another 20 too !! She is a July 1973 model high 18K Serial nos and in fair condition. Though i do not have experience yet most original parts looks still on ,as it was pointed out form previous owner the aft shock absorbers are the original and they are still working! The frame was never repainted and only the fairings and tank have been painted again long ago, not very professionally and with rather dark green metal paint and i plan on repainting them soon. Other than that she works great and after a good usual maintenance and tuning at the same mechanic he is been treating her all these years my plans are lots of riding in the amazing twisty roads of Greece!

Hi gmat
welcome to the club!
A great '73 Z1 you have there. As you mentioned, a late production bike but with all the correct date stamps!
One point yu need to look after: the gaskets between the rubber intake manifolds and the cylinder head: remove them and replace the old rubber inlet manifolds. New ones need no gaskets and will seal airtight so your engine won't suck any false air in.
Maintain it, ride it and enjoy it!
Greetings from Belgium
Philippe
