Just joined the site as after 7 years off the road I am finally trying to get my 650 C2 back on the road after my son kindly rode it all the way home with the oil light on (only a few miles apparently and his mate said it will be alright!!!!!!!!!). I was just going to sort the engine out and get it back on the road but after getting the engine aqua blasted by a chap on the Isle of Sheppey for the princely sum of 140 quid I decided to do a full rebuild. Have been getting some quotes for powder coating and it seems to have gone through the roof, used to be £70 now its double that so could take longer than I had hoped.
Will hopefully post some more pictures of the progress but for starters heres the engine.

Hi Tim, Welcome to the site. I'm just up the road from you in Southfleet so if you need any assistance, specialist tools or local contacts for coating, chroming, or just bits made etc give me a shout.

Hi Tim,
Looking forward to this.
What damage did running without oil do to the motor?

It seized one of the main bearings and gouged grooves into the crank, got another crank now, got some new bearings and starting to put it all back together when I have the time.
