I used to think my bike was exceptional. But having seen some really nice Zeds on this forum including yours. I have to downgrade mine to just good. Once this Coronavirus is over it would be good to meet up. As long as I can sort my electrical problem out that is

Congratulations on making it to retirement Steve.

tlc is an abbreviation of Tailift Chris. I think I managed about 8 years working there :D

Yours was the first Z1000 I rode. Do you remember?

Chris
I thought it was you. Yes I remember your enjoyment at ridding my Z1000.
Me praying you wouldn’t fall off. Even though it was only around the yard. That makes you me and the original owner the only ones ever to ride it.I seem to remember you had a thing about Jags. I am not yet at retirement age. But with the mortgage paid the time just seemed right.

I had to come down one evening in my car as my van wouldn’t start, I reckon that was 2006. I still have the same car.

I always wanted a Z1000 and having a little go on yours, very trusting and generous of you, it convinced me it was the right thing to do. I bought mine in 2007. I kept that bike for 7 years.

Let’s hope all this madness ends soon and we can get out somewhere locally?

I worked for Allport installations. Heathrow was Allport freight. One time depot at at Marish wharf. As you said by the canal. Then moved to the old ford factory in Langley. You’re right good times. Allport used to be a good firm. Then they sold us out to Bishopsgate.
