Thanks.

It would appear so, as is not a Uni track. At least you wont have any sleepless nights worrying.

I will still have sleepless nights, the world is a scary place.
But at least I won’t be having nightmares about B2 engines.
I will now go forward and turn this scabby beast into a beautiful work of art, obviously with the blessing of the wife :) :D who will be excited to hear my stories of every turn of a bolt over tea.

Greetings Duane, bike looks like a good place to start and lots of things seem to be there that will help immensely which ever way it comes out.
Does the frame number take the form; JKAKZ or possibly very different to that?

Hi, the frame starts with KZT10B same as the engine.
I bought the bike for spares for my other GPz1100 but out of curiosity I wanted to see if I could get it running.
To my surprise everything works not even a bulb blown. Everything is there it is complete so it is now my new restoration project.
Thanks Duane.

Hi Duane
B2 pistons are dome shaped, Unitrac pistons are high compression and are heigher in the centre but the diameter of the piston pins should give you certainty.

Hi Duane
the engine number should be no higher than 19300. The Unitrac engines start with number 19301 . I guess your engine number is lower so you can assume with almost certainty you have a B2 engine.

Hi everyone, thanks very much for your help on this.
I think my mind is now at rest that I do actually have B2 engines in both of my bikes.
you have convinced me that spending the £20 to become a full member is more than worth it as I am probably going to need a lot more information before I have finished.
thank you all.
PS I am open to ribbing/banter if I say anything stupid in the future.
