thanks for the add got myself a kz1000 csr 1980 want retromod it so will be looking for advice on the way to go forwards with my project front and back end especially, starting with the bars first job and those awful grips!!

Get some flat bars on it and you’re halfway there :D :D

Actually I really like the paint job. To go with the flat bars - rearsets, proper brakes and a cut down seat. Retro drag look. :D Job done.

Welcome along, keep the paint, ditch the bars, by the way that's not a CSR it's a b ltd model probably a B3/4, you can check by frame number in this link.

Hi all just an update been busy trying to get this running right need to I’d the carbs think they’re vm28ss all clean out been on and off like you wouldn’t believe but here’s a few pics turns out this was the fuel injection model 1015 kz1000 G

The carbs look to be 28mm, and the head is a Z1 classic head so would have been fuel injection, i had one myself but the injection was a pain so i got converted to carbs, looks like the original seat has gone as it would of been stepped and bloody ugly.
