Morning all,
I have taken delivery of my Green 1975 Z900-A4 and am just doing some springtime fettling before venturing out in the coming few weeks (lockdown, not too far from home, blah blah).
I'm looking forward to bumping into fellow owners in the area, you can tell me all that's wrong with the bike etc and I'll promise to nod along
I also have a Brown/Orange 2019 z900rs so will split my time between the two I guess.
When I work out how to add pictures then I'll do so
Regards
Steve

Re: Z900-A4 in Clacton
Welcome...
A4 is a great bike and the last evolution of the Z1 (even though KHI never called it a Z1) but it ain't' gonna go, stop and go round the twisty bits like your RS. Might sound like a sucking Egg's type statement but I note on Faceache 900RS page lots of owners who find it very hard to understand that the two models are 50 Years apart.

I'll see how I feel once I have ridden the A4 a little, but yes I can see the 900rs being sold in next month or so.
I have all the original parts so will convert it back to standard.
With ~800 miles on it, it should sell I think.

Hi JWO261N
welcome to the club!
Nice bikes you have there. Congratulations!
Take care when you ride the Z900 ! It's a complete different style of riding compared to a newer bike!
You must be capable of riding a motorcycle, look ahead because the brakes are not so powerfull compared to your RS and treat her nice, she's an old lady, give her the time to get warm and she'll reward you.
Greetings from Belgium

the differences between a little boy and an adult man is the price and size of their toys!

Cheers Philippe,
Luckily I’m likely better at riding the older bikes than the newer ones I’ve had.
I find the older bikes far more engaging, challenging in the right way. My newer bikes always leave me a little cold due to their lack of character.
I come from a range of older bikes dt175, 400/4, 750/4, xs650b & cbx1000 before a stack of newer models (blackbird x 3, hayabusa x 3, 916bip, pan American, gsxr750).
I no longer do high miles, looking to toddle around, meet up and drink tea

Ride them back to back and the years between them become very apparent
