Hi Everyone
I have been informed that it is the done thing to introduce oneself.
I live in Newcastle Upon Tyne UK 58 years old and retired.
I am presently finishing a resto of a 1977 Z1000A1.
I have a small collection of bikes (6) that made a huge impression in my youth and obviously a z1000 is in there, having "borrowed" my big brothers z1000 while he was away at the Isle of man, (after disconnecting the speedo), I had a great 4 days out every night. A big impression on a 14 year old !!!!
I know naughty boy.
Will post photos when I can.
cheers
Windy

Hi Windy
welcome to the club!
That's the way to do it! Love to see pictures of your Z1000A1.
I'm also 58 years young ( I say sometimes I'm 22 but with 36 years of experience being that age

), it's a great age!
We can make the dreams of our youth come true and most of us have a reasonably good health...(physically).
You were a noughty boy when you were 14!!!! Using your older brothers bike...
Greetings from Belgium
Philippe

Hello, Good Evening and Welcome (but watch out for those elephants!).
Lovely bike. Re the T500, my mate John owned one in 1975. Unfortunately that same summer a coach turned right on him without indicating and he broke his foot along with the bike. In summer 1976 he was back on the same bike having partly healed when a complete dickhead pulled out from a side road in front of him without looking and John went over the bonnet breaking his foot again and, unknown to him at that point, his right thumb. This occurred right next to Wealdstone Police Station, and John was so incensed it had happened again he stormed into the station and started complaining vehemently to the Desk Sergeant, receiving the reply "Excuse me Sir, do you realise blood is pouring out of your glove?", at which point John fainted and was subsequently carted off to hospital. Still got back on the bike later on.
Those were the days

H All
Freshly blasted and painted Yoshimura pipe ready for some sunny days.
Would prefer bike fully standard but period mods of Koni shocks and Yoshi pipe is not a bad compromise.
cheers
Windy
