Hi all just joined club although I have owned my Z1 for about four years now , I have just recommissioned it after a years lock down and I think it has taken a toll on the running of the engine not starting like it use to but runs ok when warmed up so I am slowly going through every thing but I think the carbs may need cleaning any ideas on someone in the Midlands area who could do this type work if everything else doesn’t work just waiting for some new points and condenser from Zpower and then see how it runs then thanks Rob

Welcome.
Get some miles on the clock, it could just need a few good runs to clear out the cobwebs.
Cheers

Hi Rob
welcome to the club!
Good to hear that you have a Z1.
Get some fresh fuel, add a carb cleaning product to it and make some miles, things might get better.
Oh, and as asked before: show us some pictures please, we all love to see them.
Greetings from Belgium
Philippe

Hadn't used mine for the last few years and was worried that it wouldn't start. New battery and fresh petrol first, but no go. Replaced plugs and got it going, bit rough and spluttery until it warmed up but gave it a 40 mile run yesterday and seems fine. Stuck a good dose of Redex in with the fresh petrol and again when I filled it up on way home
