Aloha folks
I’m Steve, I live out in the Pacific on Maui, I’m about to purchase either a 73 or 74 Z1 to restore, depending on the relative conditions and cost here. Not many vintage Japanese bikes here, most folks drive Harleys or metric twins with a few other types on the road. My last project was restoring a 73 CB 750
Hodna K3 about 2 years ago. I’m not familiar with the Z1 so I think I’ll be looking for a lot of information. I’m collecting manuals and such to study.

For some reason, spell check keeps making me misspell the make of my K3. I’m sure it’s obvious what it is.
Cheers

Hi Steve Mauiz1
welcome to the club!
Very nice CB750 you have there but you took the right decision to have a Z1.
Collecting information about the Z1 is very good! A lot of books have been written about that mythical bike.
Even more information can be obtained from the world wide web and from knowledgable people here.
When you have your Z1, don't forget to show us some pictures.
Greetings from Belgium
Philippe

Hi Steve,
That's a cracking K3 you have there, I've got a 11/70 K1 recommission in progress - but forget trying to spell Ho.nda on here; the spelling parameters have been set by the Mods who went to a different school to most of us.
Good luck with the Z1A or B resto, you'll get lots of help on here from knowledgeable members who are only too happy to share their experience, some of it even good!
Edit: PS - where's the lower tank strip?
