Hi, I have just joined the forum and the club. A familiar tale I suppose, rode all the time back in the '80s, sold my bike, always fancied another but was tricky with career and family commitments. Took the plunge last year and loving every minute. The Z1 was always a special bike for me since I first saw one in the mid-70s, never owned one before although I had ridden my mate's back in the day. A chance conversation with a friend put me in touch with someone local who specialises in restoring Z1s and Z900s, he had just started on a Z1-B which I agreed to buy. Last week I picked her up and managed a couple of rides... fantastic! Looking forward to the spring, I live in Oxfordshire.

Cheers,
Steve

Hi welcome. A newbie here myself.

Who was the person local that restores Z1's and Z 900's.

I'm Oxfordshire too ( near Chipping Norton ) and put my z650 back on the road during pandemic and have been fettling it since, carbs etc. Enjoyed it so much I bought a project z900 that turned out to be a z 1000 with 900 barrels on that Im hoping to return to refurbing and then want to get/ refurb a z900.
