I'm Andrew and have just been excepted to join you all
I had a z650 many years ago and have finally decided to relive my youth and buy a basket case to restore . I'm in Welshpool so hopefully there will be some other members close by .
One question though which I'm hoping someone can help me with . The bike I've bought has a frame num KZ650D004482 which I think makes it a 1978 sr . I have no paperwork or v5 so how the hell do I go about getting one ? It could be a American import but no nova . Am I stuffed before I start ? Advice greatly appreciated and looking forward to meeting some of you in the future [image][image][/image][/image]

Thanks for posting pictures of your basket case.
That's how I prefer to buy bikes. A rolling frame with an engine an plenty of cases with parts and surprises inside.
Making a decent riding bike out of it is always a challenge for me in which I, fortunately, often succeed.
Go for it! Get a workshop manual, a parts list, a frame with papers and do it.
