Hi newbie from Kent, I have a few of these over the years, some special builds, no looking at getting a tatty one to either make better but probably to make original as can be, I keep looking on the well now auction site and will wait for something right to crop up, value wise I assume a uk bike will end up being worth more money when finished

Welcome Dave. Fellow Kentite here also. By Brands Hatch for me.
Projects are getting harder to find and harder to fund. If you find one jump on it quickly before you loose it.

Hi Dave, as a fellow kentish bloke, welcome. I live in Cliffe Woods. I’m glad Warren has introduced himself, he welcomed me as well. I have only been in the club for a year or so and found it to be a fountain of knowledge. If you need any help with anything, the knowledge history retained on the forum is huge, and well worth a trawl though, plus there are many clever like minded people always willing to help.
Best Regards, Graham

Hi Dave

welcome to the club !
A project is something great! It starts as a wreck or a basket case and ends up like a stunning bike.
Don't forget that, along the way from one end to the other, you'll get surprises, good or bad, and it will take time, effort and money.
But when you turn that key for the first time and you push the start button and the engine comes to life...man that's a fantastic moment.
So go for it and ... show us some pictures of your bikes please.

Hi Dave

thanks for the picture.
Nice bike! Not as I would do it but that's fine, we all have our own dreams.
Ride it and enjoy it.

If you find a project bike, try to restore it to original specs, there are a lot of people on here who can help you.

This was in the days of Streetfighters, probably around 25 years or more ago, I would do it different now, and it’s more likely to be to original

Welcome to the club.
I live oop north but was born in Kent.
'Project' bikes and parts are now getting harder to find, but that said there is lots of panic selling going on at the moment, so it's a good time to buy IMO.
I'm just finishing up a Z900 full resto and then will be starting the rebuild of my UK Z1A resto.
http://www.airevalleyclassics.co.uk
10% discount code Z1OCTEN
Keyster rebuild kits & carburettor spares - airscrews, jets, needles, starter plungers & gaskets.
Also petrol/ethanol proof float bowl gaskets. IMD pistons preferred seller.
