Hello All
Hoping to start restoring a GPZ1100 Unitrack soon so joined to read up on anything I can. I've had a couple of Z13's in my time but I've never worked on a GPZ. I'm hoping the 1100 engine will be simpler to work on and a lot easier to get parts for - neither of which the Z1300 is renowned for :oops

Hi Zoso

welcome to the club !
The ZX1100A (Gpz1100 UT) is a lot easier to work on compared to the Z1300.
The only difficult things to find are the sleeves for the linkage system of the rear suspension.
As Chris stated: show us some pictures of your pride and joy please, don't be shy.
Greetings from Belgium

Okay folks. Here's a few of the bike and parts. Some of the restoration has been started but I'm looking to take it back to the original firecracker red. The bike is all there although the exhaust is a 4-1 aftermarket - might be a bit of a challenge getting an original.

Hi and welcome. You’ll find us mostly a friendly bunch although there are one or two grumps theyre all well meaning and theres no malice intended.

A picture paints a thousand words and Ive had no end of advice I didnt even know I needed from people far more knowledgeable than myself ( Rob Meggitt and others) about my project and how its not quote what I thought it was and indeed the carbs were on the wrong side. Who knew, heh?
Anyways good luck with the project and don’t forget to post pictures and stop by my own project rebuild for some consolation as to it cant be as bad as that!

Hi

You wouldn't happen to have a rear mudguard and rear indicators lying around ?

cheers
