New member just introducing myself.

Hello everybody, have done the decent thing and joined the club, (thank you), so just introducing myself here. I am in Emsworth on the South Coast, near Portsmouth. Am also a long time member of the air cooled RD club.
Have had a AS3 Rd125, RD400 and Z650 B1 for many years and up until recently the latter was my regular rider, its now having a well earned rest having turned my attention to my Z1A , (American import), which I treated myself to during the dreaded covid lock down to save me going insane. It needed work to put it mildly, absolutely love this bike, yes a different animal to the Z650 which is smoother and more agile, almost as quick but you have to work hard for it to be, but something about the Z1 just gets under your skin, in my case anyway. Having got into a state of being safe and reliable to ride, (more to do), I have been to fabulous Wales on it for a short holiday twice during the past two summers, brilliant, and sunny weather both times! Going back again next year to do more of the North. So its a Z1 that has to earn its keep, bought it to ride, have fun and go on longer trips before I get too old to pull it on to its main stand! Currently trying to finish restoring a U.S.A. import 1972/73 RD 350, but the big Z parked near it in the garage completely distracts me, tools get thrown down, on with the gear and out again on it going nowhere in particular.
Pic of the Z1A and first trip to Wales on the Z1 with a mate on his Z900, high up on the coast road heading to Aberystwyth.
Although I have been just a forum member for a while lurking in the background I am looking forward to investigating the amazing amount of additional info posted by some very knowledgeable posters on here.
