Hello from Yorkshire
Hi all, just saying hello as I am new (ish) to the forum..this is my first post. I have a couple of bikes, a Beemer R9T and my cherished Z1a. I owned a Z650b a long time ago when I was seventeen and have always had bikes ever since. I remember the first time I clapped eyes on a Z1, must have been around about 1975 (I will have been about 12) and that memory stuck with me and I knew one day I would have to own one!
Looking forward to learning from some of the very knowledgeable members on here and to a bit of lighthearted banter!! D.

Hi Dazza
welcome to the club !
Very nice Z1A you have there, congratulations!
Even though you had to wait from 1975 until now, you see that it's never too late to have a happy childhood

Re: Hello from Yorkshire
Welcome to the club, I like you have always had motorcycles throughout my life, had many in my younger days mainly Suzukis due to my hero at the time riding them 'Barry Sheene'. At 20 owned a Z650 in green very similar to yours, which handled far better then the kettles i had. Oh and you didnt have to wait 10 mins for the smoke to clear when riding quickly! Them were the days when you could ride quickly!
But like you the one bike i always wanted but eluded me was a Kawasaki Z900, finally ive managed it, although its in the middle of a resto at mo.
I do hope it ends up looking as good as yours.
Enjoy!!

Hi this is my culmination of 5 months work and story so far, if you follow my posts, you will see ive had no end of setbacks enroute.
However it is finally starting to come together at a,standard im happy with and indeed meets my budget 3rd time round as had to keep adjusting it upwards the more i found.
Ofcourse when you look what ive achieved 8n the 5 morths and look at what Phillippe has achieved in a much shorter space of time it puts my efforts to shame! All i can say is this is my 1st sp learning as i go and experience def counts!!!.
