Hi All

Hello everyone,
I bought a 1977 z650 B1 last year which needed some re commissioning and a other work that I discovered along the way (as you do!). It's virtually ready for it's first run, just awaiting a length of fuel pipe. There are some other jobs I want to do on it including new brake hoses and master cylinder. The paint work isn't correct for the bike but that can wait for a bit until I can find someone fairly local to change it back to it's correct colour scheme. Just hoping for a bit of dry weather over the next few weeks. John

Thanks for the welcomes.

The plan is to return it back to standard as much as possible, green paint job etc. I'l probably keep the double discs though. I've just been out and got 10l of fuel so hopefully I'll get a first ride on it tomorrow.

Nice looking bike Warren and thanks Bill for pointing me to Sean Dewis, Ilkestons not that far away from me.

I think it looks good that colour if it’s as good in metal as it looks in the pics I’d leave it like that. Double discs are worth retaining also…

Welcome aboard :welc

Hi Chris / Philippe, The paintwork is not as good as it looks in the pics, I agree if it was I think I would keep it even though it's not correct for the model as I'm not going for a full nut and bolt return to original.
