can any one help me i have a z1b which keeps flooding i have changed float valves and seats i can borrow a tool to measure float height not fuel height but i dont know what it should be ??? thanks steve

Most Mikuni carbs are somewhere between 17 - 20mm float height :!: :?:
The Haynes don't say, they only recommend using level gauge.
I'd guesstimate 18mm with float bowl removed, measuring from bowl gasket face (carbs inverted) to bottom of float as it just touches valve.
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

PS, If this causes flooding (too much fuel in bowl & too rich) increase this figure a couple of mm. :wink: Hopefully this shouldn't be too far out :?:

I'd agree with the 23mm. I've always used this measurement with no problems :)

This months CMM has a bit on setting float heights.
