My forks need rechroming

#1 PostAuthor: Pasc » Sun Apr 29, 2007 12:33 pm

Ok, my forks are out of my 1000j and need rechroming and seals.
I have Fitforx just up the road from where I live and I've also heard a lot about Philpotts. Has anybody else used either of these companies and what did you think of their work, price, etc ?
Disco Volante are doing a pair of stanchions at ?160. How would this compare with rechroming ?
Or does anybody have any leads for a GOOD new pair of stanchions ?
Cheers guys.

Pasc, speak to Phil at Z-POWER as they do pattern fork legs which aren't much more than getting old ones re-chromed.That is for the price i was quoted by HCP&G,nr Newark,Notts.
A.M.Philpott do a very good job from what i've heard and at a good price,so well worth checking 'em out

I used the z1 power pattern option on both my z1 and z1rs it worked out cheaper and I flogged the pitted ones on ebay, so it cost me hardly anything!

Have used philpots on previous renovations, they did an excellent job but be prepared for a wait this time of year
Now where did I leave my Keys!
