Taylor Leads - Coil End

#1 PostAuthor: njwmct » Wed Dec 07, 2011 6:22 pm

Could anyone advise the correct method for crimping Taylor Leads at the coil end?
A photo of the correct end result would be great!

For Dyna coils: Just look at a car lead, you need to do the same sort of thing, I made a crimper by drilling through two bits of steel flat bar, bit of hacksaw work and filing. Then put them in the vice and squeeze up.

I'll send you a photo of it over the weekend.

Original Kawa coil leads are molded in and you won't fit Taylor leads to them easily.

The ends are a bit confusing - but the more solid end with the little hole is fitted to the lead - and the core wire can thread thru' the hole

Best to put the waterproof rubber on first though :??
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!
