Help with Z650 to big bore

#1 PostAuthor: maltatrucker » Mon Sep 16, 2013 9:54 pm

Hi all not been around much due to working in Holland
Anyway as the B1 is still in bits I have decided to go big bore.
Just got this barrels from Ebay

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171122347545? ... 1497.l2649
Now I told my mechanic and as its never been done in Malta he was thinking that the cases will have to be bored out,I did say that they do not need to be,I hope I was right as the bottom has been assembled.
Please some help on what needs to be done and bought.
Cheers all
Daz

Hi Maltatrucker, your mechanic is correct if your cases are original. The 750 stuff will go straight onto later type engines that were being made for the 650 when the 750 were also on the road. That means engines from the F2, F3 and F4. The cases should have KHI in raised letters before the main engine number.

You may be better finding a complete 750 motor to drop in or consider gas flow, bigger carbs and a set of gpz cams, in the 650.

You could also fit a 700 wiseco kit to your 650 barrels
