Wheel spacer

I would welcome suggestions as to the easiest and best way to space the front wheel on my project.

Option A: Weld a 6mm thick washer to the outside of the existing spacer.
Option B: Fabricate a new spacer. (It is 40mm at its largest diameter).

This is the existing spacer. What do you think?

Chris I know of a place that could make you a new spacer , in Newport pagnell
