ACF50 is available from ebay, the cheapest I found was from M & P.

I use WD 40 and have had no corrosion issues (even on the trumpet which has lots of chrome) wipe it on leave it, cover the bike check weekly etc.

When I worked in the plastics industry they used to use a spray called AMERSEAL. it was a injection mould protection to preserve polished metals when in storage. I sprayed some on my z750 engine and used it all winter when I removed it a few months later it was still mint no damage at all, but I had to use paraffin and a power washer to get it off.

I like the heater idea, when I am in the shed with my heater on the bike quickly forms condensation even though it is covered, I suppose a decent quality bike cover,a heater and remote thermostat would be perfect.

I also use a couple of Dimplex wall mounted tube heaters, plugged into a thermostat - and a liberal coating of Scottoiler FS365: seems to work out ok.

Jeez I hate winters :cold :vcold - not got cabin fever yet, but there is still time.

I only use an old quilt cover so it can breathe, I should really invest in a proper dust sheet cover as I have put a lot of work in to this bike, I have coated all the frame in ACF50 :D
