Tank rubbers?

Z650 / 1000 front tank rubbers - the little donut-shaped ones that seem to have an life of their own and run off and hide whenever your back is turned....
Anyone got any way of keeping track of where they run off to? Or has anyone made their own with those rubber component kits? (Which, I believe, uses special 'homing' rubber that always returns to its rightful place)

Best method is to do them with the cat in the shed...
It'll chase 'em down no matter what. :lol:
