Carburettor settings

#1 PostAuthor: brigger » Mon Mar 24, 2014 10:51 am

I have a 1977 Z100a. I have just had the carbs ultrsonically cleaned and am putting them back together and am unsure how to set the throttle valve with the adjustment screw under the top cover. Any ideas ? I should say that the bike is a US import. Also, the air screw is on the underside of the carb and not in the side? not sure of the settings on this either. My Haynes manual doesnt cover this model of carb either that or I have the wrong book :!:

Hi

having a look through this I see Steve's explanation is for setting the throttle slide doesn't cover the Z900 A4 set up I have.

The carbs are VM26 and the throttle stop is in the middle of the carbs. is the set up the same?
Just purchased a 1976 UK Z900 A4 for renovation. Wish me luck.
Bike now finished what a joy!
