Z900A4 paint

#1 PostAuthor: Gavin » Sun Apr 27, 2014 6:28 am

I am starting work on my Z900, the local auto paint stockist says he needs to colour match from a panel before he can mix the colours. Which is easy enough if you have a panel to use, which I don't have.

Has anyone used these RS before, if so what's the verdict

the paint shade can make or break a zed, it would be my suggestion to use a tried and tested painter rather than take any chance with it.

A4 should be Diamond dark green.

I've used RS a few times and their paints have always been a good match.

Thanks for the info and advice. To be honest the tank isn't
Worth taking it to a professional, so in the best tradition of bodge it and Scarper I am going to have ago myself.
I have wanted to get a spare tank panels for the Z13 and spray them Z1000mk 2 blue, this will be a practice,
any way I have just shelled out £300 on a 4 into 1 for it, I need to be careful I don't put to much cash into it.

The Pin stripes - are decals. Only the Z1 was hand painted. Z1A onwards decals were used.

I agree it is a resurrection, I had the tank and panels painted by a local guy
all paint no decals, he also painted the Z1300 £400 each bike, ( closed down end of last year,)
