Hi Al - that's the only fly in the ointment!
A set of original 4:2 exhausts would finish it off a treat.
(personally I hate the Harris 4:1 not good quality at all!)
I have got an original Kawasaki set but they are not great - some marks on the chrome + swelling around the baffles - basically not good enough to match the rest of the bike.
Hopefully one day a nice set will turn up but I'm not holding my breath.
By the way love the look of your J in trackday mode with those Astralite wheels.
Cheers,
Nick.
A couple of years back there was a rumour flying about that someone in Italy was making pattern exhausts for J, H, MKII etc.
Probably generic and probably not exact but that was what i heard.
Might have been OK for sunny days etc.
Knowing Italian steel and chrome it may have been a waste of money but didnt follow it up.
I dont have any contact or web address sorry but have done a small search and found nothing.
At that time John Browse had a set of J i think exhausts, possibly nos but at about £600 they seemed expensive.
Now; not so sure based on prices of bikes and the cost of 4:4 sets.
Thanks for the comment about the J.
Since the photos i have had to do something about the 'Easyrider' front end and lowered it significantly.
Totally different characteristics now and better for my personal taste.
Will update the fork spring and valve thread shortly, now i have had a chance to ride it a little.

Halfway through my resot and seeing MkII's like yours gives me a boost, Im at the early stages, everything is stripped and getting blasted / primed etc.
I'm like you and like the balance of 4 into 2s. Only ones around are over in Japan and you don't know what you're buying since the original quality / thickness wasn't real flash.
There is a guy in Brisbane Australia who does a decent replica set, shipping would be the killer for you though. They retail for around £550 st todays exchange rates.
