Donnington 6 and 7 May 2017 Endurance Legends Weekend
Moderators: paul doran, Taffus, KeithZ1R, chrisu
Al and everyone,
Will be great to see the Z1OC with a display in the show area at Endurance Legends. As Al said earlier, we're investing in 120 metres of pristine white marquees for the show (in addition to marquees for the VMCC and also the VJMC who are now having their national show at EL).
Each display bike will receive a free weekend pass so you really need to make a weekend of it, but there's a stack of classic bike action to overdose on which runs til 8pm both days, plus a DJ and band on Saturday evening, and free camping.
In addition to showing off the Z1OC with some of the big K's finest, the display doesn't have to be static either, as we're giving all clubs the chance to demo their bikes in a parade as part in the rolling bike show on the Melbourne Loop. The Loop will also be hosting racing sidecar ferry rides and the VMCC's Try-A-Bike where everyone can experience riding some amazing classic bikes.
You'll get to watch some of the best classic racing (ICGP, Lansdowne and of course the 4hr endurance including the European Classic Series), some stunning classic race bike parades & displays, upto 240 trackday riders and more

I have booked ten tickets / spaces.
7 are currently available to anyone who wants them to show their bike / bikes.
For those that bring a bike to display;
Here's a little more info for you . . . the free camping will now be available in Park Farm Campsite which is a short distance from the main Donington Park entrance. The free camping will be in specific area and does not include hookup. For anyone who would like electric hookup etc they are welcome to upgrade and book a pitch also at Park Farm Campsite, but will need to book directly with the team at Donington Park Farmhouse Hotel & Camping: http://parkfarmhouse.co.uk/caravan-site/
Its a great camp site with good facilities; pub / restaurant, etc etc. stayed there once before and it is just a minutes' walk to the circuit.

Confirmed interested needing passes:
Bunny Z
ChrisU
SVENLEATHER
And then, already there with a standby bike not needing passes;
Martinz1000R
RobW
Pluto
That means there are up to seven available places / passes to anyone who want to show a bike and the stand just now,... may have six.
If it plays out this way i think the passes will come to me. If that is the case i will leave them at the main gate for collection rather than post them out.

Al my z1b non original will be up and running so yes to Donnington if that's okay

If we're short of bikes I'll throw 2 in the van
Thanks Chris that could prove to be a useful reserve option.

Great Phil, a selection of bikes that represent this organisation / members / models and forms that says who we are and what we do is likely best.
The other display groups can do what they want and doubtless would bring only immaculate show winning bikes, we'll see. I would prefer to see bikes that show that ownership is not exclusive and is accessible but i'm not in charge.
Situation as of todays date;
Confirmed interested needing passes:
Bunny Z
ChrisU (possible 2 bikes)
SVENLEATHER
Hobbo
And then, already there with a standby bike not needing passes;

I'll probably go, but won't be riding and I wont be going on the Z, happy to show the old minger, but I have no means to get it there.

Al, give me the chance to test ride beyond the end of my driveway and I would be really keen to join you all. It's a long way to commit to and I have changed a few things. First test will be tomorrow, I will let you know. Worst case I will drive up.

A tiny detail update for those that wish to go; had contact from Darin at CBT today and he has said that tickets /wristbands and any paperwork will come to me when Donnington sends them out. I will then send them on individually. You should have what you need before you go and for logistical reasons; registering / sing in / distribution of paperwork and permissions for the 400 or so riding participants, plus display parties and traders will not be able to be conducted through one tiny portacabin at the main gate. Hence they should also receive what they require in advance. A little different from say Spa where you turn up with nothing and then get a van full of tickets, wristbands, stickers, schedules, info, maps, charts, CD's and a laptop!
OK so i made up the last bit but you get the gist.

It looks as if the allocation of free camping spaces has now been or is about to be all used up!
I believe the campsite itself may now be full to capacity however, there may be alternatives or potentially some negotiations to be made, but no promises.
This is for the parkfarmhouse site immediately adjacent to the circuit.
Here are some alternatives from DP's website including; Glamping nearby!!
