Well we went for a mate birthday weekend in Orkney at the weekend. By the time the wife joined us in the pub on the Sunday I had managed to agree to buy a couple of Rex's off a mate.. When I will get them transported and started remains to be seen, but can't beat a pub deal in the morning! Lol

Will do thanks. I'm not a member yet but will join. I had a Rex a few years ago and wanted another one so thought I'd go for them.. Not sure when they will get started, need to finish the J first.

Paul, aye was a good deal. Had a Rex a few years ago and loved it, so time to have another or two

actually being picked up tomorrow and bright back down to Aberdeen which doesn't put me much nearer to being able to work on them but at least in the stable ;)

I've always been tempted to buy another Rex11 and race it / track day it. They're a lump but with a ZZR1100 top end, a set of Keihin CRS, fruity pipe, decent suspension, Dymags and a set of decent calipers it would be a hoot.

Indeed, easily tunable.
My 1200 Rex has ZZR pistons and cams, ported head and 39mm Yoshi FCR MJN flatslides and a nice Japanese Ti pipe. 155hp & 90ft/lb torque with 75ft at 4k RPM.

Bikes arrived in Aberdeen today, when the guy was there picking them up I asked him to take my GT380 back that I havnt seen for the last 18 years.. It was a us import and looking rather clean apart from the fact the tank went missing... Now not looking quiet so clean!! Eck not sure I am enthusiastic enough about a GT to restore this..

Guess the shed was a bit damp! Lol
