Good Evening
I have fitted a set of KZ1000 forks to my 1000r2 ......everything looked exactly the same until I refit the calipers and find that the calipers rub on the discs
The forks look exactly the same but measuring the distance between the spindle and caliper bolts is difficult due to the uneven shape ....well down to 2.5mm is
My discs are 280mm ....I'm assuming there is a 275mm ( ? ) disc option and that is where my forks are from
Does that sound likely ?
Thanks Chris

Re: Disc diameters
J1 and J2 front discs are 278mm i think,.. and J3 /1000R are 280 or 282mm or something like that. Just looked for the actual numbers and cannot find it at M&P, EBC or forum search. I have it written somewhere but i know it is on here.

Re: Disc diameters
Thanks for the replies .turns out my new forks are Gpz100B1 ........ 270mm diam discs
Got my dad to turn a few mm of the 280mm discs which has given me enough clearance and all is well ;)

Re: Disc diameters
What you should have done was have your Dad let you skim 10mm off the discs. There's little that's more therapeutic...

Re: Disc diameters
one of them was so hard it wouldn't cut Coose ........ had to grind it down by 2mm .......just enough
