If I had a cap I would doff it too. Very nice - I am green with envy.

Re: Z1000J Build
Thanks all! I'm pretty happy with the outcome. I still want to put Dymags on it as I don't like the 5 spokes, but will hold off a bit as some other stuff to spend money on now unfortunately..
Stu, I'll be back in Dyce in the Completions base most of the time.. Should start by first of October, I'm hoping to get back to UK in around 3 weeks though so maybe sooner!

Re: Z1000J Build
Been a while since I've been on but quick update since I saw you guys at Stafford..
After a long break with moving country, starting a new job and knocking my garage down I finally managed to get the Zed out of storage and into my mates shed so I could get it finished... after much tinkering and setting up of the flat slides it sounded much healthier.. so I got it out for the first short shake down on Friday.
First impressions I am very happy with the engine, very crisp, smooth and plenty of power.. there is still a bit of a ticking noise that I'm not happy with so further investigation next weekend when I get a chance to look at it but running ten times better than before.
Bad news is the front discs even after sorting the carriers out are a pile of crap. The carriers are ok now that Buzzard worked his magic on them but the discs themselves are a pile of garbage. So two choices are to either replace with something more modern in 320mm like PMC Floaters which look ok, or get new discs made for the carriers... I love the look of the KipKawa ones I have on but they have been an absolute headache since day one and not sure it's worth perusing them any more.. I haven't seen any other S1 replica discs anywhere so I think the PMCs may be the safest option.. will decide this week I guess what to do..
Either way it's a step forward and it's ready for the MOT so I can at least get my U.K. Reg sent off for soon. Happy days!

Re: Z1000J Build
Great to read it has been out Lee. Disappointing about the discs.
Re: Z1000J Build
Depending on your budget it may be worth contacting ISR. Al had his discs made by them, where although his look like "normal" ISR discs they may be able to make you some to replicate your S1 discs (but better)....
