Nice, looks like it could still be 1983
In 1983 I had a TS50

That looks nice.
I only started biking in 81, so I have more affection for these models that the Z1s etc from the 70s.
Nice to see a full length rear mudguard too!

thanks guys, pleased you'se like, she still gets the looks when I park her up. But never let her out of my sight. she handles well too. the only embarrassing thing is it runs on 600 diversion tyres which do my street cred no good at all lol

Just for my curiosity, how much did it cost in 1983?

Very nice, great looking bike,
I have one the same but in black and gold, and just like you I bought it new in 1983. The J3 was the only model J to have the Z on the sidepanel in red, hence where my username comes from. Mine was £2499 from the Shrewsbury Kawasaki Centre for the record.
Eight valve grunt.

From memory, my wage in 1983 was about £2500 p.a.

she cost me 2300 in july 83, I'm planning to get her repainted this winter but its finding someone who can guarantee the same colour match, I have a brand new tail unit in the box as a match. since the pics were done I had the fairing done to see if a guy could math it.

Very good taste there. Not many J3s left now. Enjoy it mate.
