Me and Dave will be at Stafford about 3pm tomorrow with our bikes loaded in the van - can bring my ratchet gun if needed?

Cheers

Spanners will be fine. The truss is very thin walled aluminium tube & a ratchet gun would probably kill it. :eek :eek

The stand was a credit to all those involved ! :up

Great variety of bikes from the "cosmetically challenged" Z1 to the Beautiful Z2 and most things in between,

and modded bikes like the Drouin. :drool

also the "widow shaker" certainly seemed to be causing quite a stir !

Another one under the belt :up great show ,great display the stand was well attended both days and at some points it was overcrowded :) Rob's Drouin was the well deserved winner of "best machine " on display and he also received a highly commended from the show judges. Remember guys this is a "club stand" for club members to display their pride and joy and every single club member is eligible to do do regardless of condition (we had a boat anchor this year  ) so please bear in mind for next year. somebody will be along with pictures shortly....hopefully :D

Great show and a great stand with some very interesting and varied bikes on display; first time I'd seen a Z2 too - it was really good to meet many members from the forum, put a face to names and share a few beers on Saturday night, some shared a few too many (Taffus). One particular member 'Zedman' (Brown) kept me and Dave in stitches most of the weekend and is as mad a bag of frogs.

There were many hightlights during the weekend, but the most special one was meeting Phil Churchett's son, Matthew, who came to see his Dad's old Z900 and handed me lots of old photos and memorabilia. Thanks to Steve Thomas who organised Matthew's visit.

Here's a few of my photos, including a couple from when I set my camera on the wrong setting  ...............but I think the effects look good  :

Very impressive looking stand, I think the old scabby Z1 was a great idea. Excellent turn out, all those that organised it deserve a well earned pat on the back. :up

great weekend and great show and yes the Z1 Stand was for Me the best in show but then I am biased
big credit to Jerry and Jayne for the effort they put in it's not just Saturday and Sunday for them this takes planning and effort and yet they never complain they do it every year when the rest of Us come and go during the two days and except for probably a half hour break each day it's two long tiring days for them both which I believe most of Us don't appreciate so I think this Club owes them a big thanks
way too many Zeds
