You sure can Robin Applebe engineering did the job.
Strip, clean, inspect, balance and weld with new big ends and mains came to £580.

Was it a Z1100R crank or one from something else?
(I thought the 1100R had the Unitrak engine and the crank came from the factory with the centre pin welded)

Was the centre pin welded before it went for refurb - just wondering as I have a Unitrak crank and hope that it's welded.

Been a while since my last update but after much grief swearing and hitting the resto wall. the engine is together, the chain conversion and offset sprocket sorted. Along with much jiggery pokery to get the Kerker to clear swing arm bracing..... WELL...

probably cost me more than the bikes value. but its worth it to me as i wanted one since they were released. i only had to wait 30yrs.
if the club wants to use it for a display stand, no problem.

Tell me about it - me Harris for one

Still a great hobby (these bikes) as you can always get a bulk of the value back if needed ..... Get it on the stand lad
