Z900 Tailpiece Stickers - Poor Repros
I still can't find decent UK Z900 repro tailpiece warning stickers which are close to the originals - I contacted Z-Power but the ones they sell, although not listed on their website (below), are not close enough to the originals: the 'Brake Fluid' one is ok'ish (although wrong border and font size) but the 'Engine Oil' is nowhere near close and doesn't include the Oil Filter info:
I have recently bought original side panels and a tailpiece (off a UK bike) and the tailpiece still has the original stickers on and illustrates how far apart the repros are. So it looks like I may have to have them made up - anyone else interested if I do?
I know some might think I'm being anal, but I like to pay attention to detail and certain things need to be right and no, I'm not a rivet counter........
Thanks
Andrew

These guys from link have the decals you want.
Interestingly the engine oil decal you want they have listed as for a Z1000A2 and Z1R are you sure the side panel / tail came from a Z900 and not a Z1000A2.

Thanks Adrian,
Yes, the panels are for a Z900 as they are still in their original Diamond Green paint, plus I know the history of the bike back to 1978.
That's interesting they don't list the 'KZ900' as the Brake Fluid one looks spot on (just ordered a couple), but the Engine Oil and Filter is not right for the (UK) Z900 (I'll look into getting these made), so maybe that one is for the A2 and Z1R.
Cheers
Andrew

Re: Z900 Tailpiece Stickers - Poor Repros
If anyone wants any perfect and identical replica high quality decals making up, then as long as someone can supply an original to work from then I am more than happy to help out.
I can have the artwork ready within hours as proofs before any print runs.
I've done many decals for members before and quite like helping out where I can.
Please PM me or email me for further info or to get the ball rolling.
Regards Will

Andrew the oil decal shown on your green tailpiece are quite different to the original decal on my UK A4, but it is exactly the same as the one on an untouched original wine red A1 tailpiece I have so something seems amiss there!
Have you tried Jeff at Z1-Enterprises

The truth is that despite what the 'rivet counters' seem to think a lot of things on all of the models would be subject to change if needed within the model run, I would suggest that if you are sure your tailpiece is original it is probably from later in the model run and is the same sticker that was then used through to the A1 and onwards whereas my A4 is quite early in the run.

Re: Z900 Tailpiece Stickers - Poor Repros
Thanks for the info and leads, I haven't tried Z1-Enterprises but I will do.
Yes, it makes perfect sense that some minor detail would have changed during the production run of the A4. Interestingly, my spare panels came off a June 76 bike (P plate) and my A4 was registered 1 August 76 (R plate) - Frame number Z1F-103176, both considered late bikes I guess. Taking Steve’s point the earlier A4’s had different Oil/Filter decals then maybe these were used on the later A4's and also the A1 as below.
Out of interest, can anyone tell me approximately when my bike was built from the Frame number?
A1
A4
Will - I have already spoken with someone who can produce copies of the decals (if it comes to it) but if it turns out he can’t do them I will drop you a PM, thank you.
Cheers

Andrew the build date for your frame is Feb/Mar 76 mine is Oct/Nov 75 and first registered Feb 76, I have a project bike here in bits of which the frame number is just under 200 after yours, if you don't mind would you let me have your engine no. via PM so I can check against mine for this frame?
