SOLD Modified early Z1 frame inc ZRX swingarm registered
It is with great regret I am putting up for sale my modified Z1 frame. As close friends know I have put a lot of work into this but a new company I have just started in readiness for when I leave my existing role next year, needs some investment now to get the ball rolling.
I purchased this frame from Chris Rivett in Jan this year with many of the modifications already sorted. I then handed the frame over to Rob Talon a specialist in making classic race frames. He modified the frame and swingarm to fit perfectly, fitted lower top shock mounts plus modified the brake pedal mount. The frame comes as shown with a tail tidy and custom rear light, seat lock and seat catch. The frame and swingarm have been freshly powderciated.
The frame number is Z1F-04472 manufactured Nov 72. The numbers do look bigger than normal. Never bothered me as using for a sanctuary style bike but I am always totally honest with my descriptions. When I first got the frame the V5 had the bike as manufactured and registered in 1974 overseas and as such came with an M reg. I have since provided paperwork from Kawasaki UK Z Power and Jerry to prove the bike was manufactured in 72 and they have now amended the V5 to show this. I have just sent in a request to change from the M reg to an L reg. Please however bear in mind the frame at this moment in time will come as an M registered bike. I cannot confirm the DVLA will swap over to an L reg although logic says there should be no issue.
As I bought the frame on this site I thought it right to advertise here first and on the Facebook site. If no takers by Friday I will place on e bay. £1250 collected I can arrange delivery if required at your cost message me for a price. No offers I have paid out much more on the work and parts than the price offered. I have added a couple of photos of the full dry build I did earlier this year with a st engine. The frame has spent the last two months in my office at home ( only allowed by the boss as the room is awaiting a full floor sand and varnish in the new year)

Thanks for the best wishes guys. Having worked away for the last 30 years it will be good to finally have a job where I come home every night and can make midweek plans with Joanne.

Sounds like you might be able to find a bit more 'garage time'.

The new business will be a small bike shop / come breakers (bet that surprised you all lol) specializing in 70's bikes.
No new parts just servicing and maybe a couple of special builds each year.
Just looking to earn a small wage as too young to retire.
Company name registered with Companies house and website sorted.
Start trading Early 2019 but a lot to do in 2018 to make ready.
Cheers
