Noob questions keep coming...

#1 PostAuthor: damien.wrl » Tue Feb 13, 2018 4:35 pm

Where does the tool kit go on a kz1000, I am guessing I am missing a tray above the battery?? The document drawer looks to small... I know what’s coming , same as a Z1 tool tray , nla, hens teeth etc etc ..

Hi Damien
on a KZ1000A1 till A4 the tool tray comes above the tube of the air filter silencer. It's a black plastic "rectangular" tray in which the tool bag is placed.
You can get good replicas at Z-Power in the UK for about £20.
Cheers

Hi Damien
yes I did, the fit is perfect and it looks like original, i think there are some minor differences compared to the original stuff but i didn't discover them.
If your air filter box and the silencer are mounted correct, they fit like a glove!
Garry.L gave you a good view of how and where it should come.
Go for it!

Assume that's just the tray - what about the wallet/Tools that fit in it ?

The tools are another issue again , getting the correct one is a black art in itself... I have now got four correct tools but getting a feeler gauge or crescent spanner is going to be nigh on impossible without selling a kidney
