Hi James
she becomes stunning! Keep up the good work! You're allmost there!
Are my eyes fooling me or did I see a dome shaped nut holding your headlight against the lamp ears? If that's the case you better get a set of headlamp bolts and nuts at Z-power (£ 28.50) to make it original. If my eyes fool me, and you have the correct bolts, then forget what I wrote about them.
Greetings from Belgium
Philippe

Hi Phillipe.
They’re just a temporary measure - I have a correct set of bolts and nuts on the way so they’ll be fitted next week.
Can’t do much more at the moment until I get the wheels back...

I’ll try and find out for you mate. A friend of mine has organised the paintwork - and the painter he uses has in turn organised for the wheel refurb. Is going to cost £120 per wheel to refinish both sides, diamond cut and lacquer. Fingers crossed - will share the results when the come back later next week. James

Took an age to find the 4-2 pipes so they're going nowhere .

Little bit more progress today. End of 4-2 pipes repainted in VHT. Painter has finished the body set and wheels and they’ll be back with me by the weekend.
Carbs rebuilt and will be refitted later in the week. Can’s seem to get the accelerator pump circuit working though..

Those pipes really are awful... you need some 4 into 1 system and I will take those horrid things off you to save you further upset

It’s fine mate. I found a scratch on one of them this afternoon, so decided to shot blast them for a more distressed look. I may change tack on the whole build and go for a rat-bike look. Will keep you posted.

New rubber (Michelin Pilot Sport) fitted to refurbished original wheels (stripped, painted, diamond cut, lacquered). Looking tidy...
Re: 1980 KZ1000 A4 (MkII) (pic heavy)
very nice
I think that's a good way to get to a very high standard, wheels can make or brake a Bike and they will make yours for sure
