I know what you mean

I have not sold very many bikes, but the ones I did I have been buying up good ones to replace the loss

My Grandfather said the one thing he would do different if he had his time again and that would have been to keep the cars and Bikes he had :D I took this on board which is why I have more than most to day and I have not sold a bike since the 99

Afraid so mate - love the Speed Triple but in hindsight, would definitely have kept the ZRX. Seemed like a good idea at the time....................... :sad

I have lost count of the amount of people that have sold their Rex and don't know why or regretted it.
We all know how good they are so why even think about it.
Sure I know it'll mostly be down to money at the end of the day, but like all classics these are only going one way.
I've had mine for 9 years now and might part with it when I can no longer physically ride it.

That's the problem with mine, I love it but if I ride it more than 50 miles it triggers a flareup of my longstanding lower back problem and then I can't ride anything for a while.
I am going to sell mine shortly...

Have you tried bar risers/different bars? Might help before thinking of selling it

I've tried all sorts, lower bars, higher bars, lower pegs, higher pegs.
As I have it now is the most comfortable it can be for me: Renthal medium road bars and Arata rearsets which have the footpeg about 1 inch higher and further back than standard.
I have no issue when riding it for more than 50 miles (other than it's tiring). But a few days afterwards, my back problem flairs up and I'm out of action for a week.
I can ride my 1200 Supertenere for 12 hours with back issues afterwards.
So as a result the Rex isn't getting ridden. So I'm putting it back to standard to sell and will keep the huge pile of fancy bits so I can build another I want.

Cheers Sir, but my backs not going to get any better. I've had my fun creating and riding my Rex and sadly it's time to move on. It's been a blast!
