#1 PostAuthor: warren3200gt » Wed Jul 18, 2018 8:44 am

Gents, what disc should be on a Z1B as standard. I think its 296mm dia but what was thickness new? 7mm? and 4 bolt?
if that's all correct anyone got a used one they would sell?

Thanks, which other bikes had the same fitted? I think 650's had 320's or 296's depending on model but not sure if they were all 4 bolt. A4's were 320's /6 bolt?

Just want to be sure when I go for a trawl.

Ok, so plan b, I have a 650 4 bolt hub which I can swop in but would then need a 296 / 4 bolt disc. Which bikes had em? and has anyone got one they are willing to sell?
or does anyone know if the swept face internal dia is the same on all the discs? Thinking it might be easier to get a 320/4 hole and turning it down to 296.

Confusing myself now. So just for clarity and confirmation with Z1B forks and calipers which disc size should it be ? 320 or 296?
This its what I'm trying to achieve, I currently have A4 forks, wheel and disc's / caliper. I have a pair of B forks and caliper which I want to swop in. The hub is 4 hole so do I need 320 / 4 or 296 / 4 disc?

Kawasaki Z1B - should have a 6 hole front hub, discs should be 296mm with 6 holes.
Standard single disc - 7mm thick.
If going for twin disc each should be 5mm thick.

6 hole discs also used on H1 and H2.

Right, so I should be able to swop a4 forks out, fit b forks/caliper and use my exisying a4 wheel and a4 296 disc. ? Reason Im unsure is because caliper mount lugs are so much lower on b forks.

Z1B calipers are different to later model calipers.

If you want to use Z1B forks you will need Z1 - Z1B calipers

You could buy this kit from Z-power.

Yep, I know, I already have a b caliper but the mount bracket difference for it doesn't look enough to compensate for the leg lug difference. Just making sure I have the correct usable bits to hand before starting the task.
That kit is for 6 hole discs, I'll be using a 4 hole hub with a 4 hole 296 disc.
