#00265 NOT for Sale
Hopefully this is OK:
I decided to sell my Z1 #00265, build date 2nd week of Sept 1972. It was restored by Greg Walker in 2001. Greg owns V1 00011, V1 00025, press bike Z1F-90011, #00010, #00026 and #00033, plus many other Z's.
It just went up on eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/1972-Kawasaki-Z1/302831663192
Bike is in California. I am originally from the UK but live in California and relocating to Minnesota, and am selling most of my small collection.
I put together a website detailing the history of the bike. https://earlyz1.wixsite.com/mysite
I know there are no listings allowed here without a price so the reserve on the eBay listing is $31K. Hopefully this makes it OK to list. If not, please remove.
Cheers,
Don

Re: #00265 for Sale
Hi Don
the bike looks fantastic! There are allready 4 bids and your reserve is met! Are you sure you're going to sell it?
Anyway congratulations!
Your bike is stunningly restored and makes my '72 Z1 ( Frame n° 1633) look like a poor bike.
Good luck

Thank you Philippe - yes I was surprised the reserve was met so quickly. Hopefully the new owner will ride it and not hide it away.

Re: #00265 for Sale
Strange - looks like it didn't hit the reserve. What happened?
Re: #00265 NOT for Sale
HI James - there was some shady stuff going on with the bidding so I decided to end the auction and keep the bike.

Re: #00265 NOT for Sale
Very annoying. Maybe some idiot driving the market to help a sale of their own?

Probably wise... you'd only regret it one day.

Re: #00265 NOT for Sale
Thanks all - yes that had been playing on my mind. It definitely got a lot of interest - 458 watchers - it was the most watched motorcycle on eBay US. I really dont like stopping auctions and would have gone through with it, but there was some shit going on that really bothered me. I pulled the cover off yesterday, wheeled it out into the sun, and thought - what am i even doing? Then imagined trying to find a replacement - pretty much impossible.
Here is a good eBay watch counter if interested - I just found it last week - works for eBay UK too.

Sounds like you just wanted to gauge interest?
Re: #00265 NOT for Sale
Hi TZ750D
NOW YOU MADE THE RIGHT DECISION!!!
Thank God you got your sense back on time. KEEP IT, don't sell a bike like that, You'll never, ever find a replacement.
