New Here... RubberChicken

#1 PostAuthor: RubberChicken » Thu Jan 03, 2019 1:38 am

Yes, I am legendary, and the RubberChicken stems from the one I had cargo-netted to my GT550’s tank whilst despatch riding back in the 90’s. I’d flail it at myopic Volvo drivers who dared to say “sorry mate, I didn’t see you...”

Now just bought a classic KZ1000ST before Christmas, and it won’t need much to bring it back to factory condition, but frustratingly, the tail light doesn’t work, the indicators are jammed on RightTurn and I broke my key off in the ignition barrel. (Sigh)

Minor problems, but “Kezzie” will be up and running soon, thanks to friends Paul Kemp, Andy Turnbull and Jon Pick, so what a crew I have behind me !

Looking forward to riding out to BoxHill with them sometime soon.

Pics to follow soon

Love and best wishes to you all, and this Z1 forum may prove to be a goldmine of knowledge and resource.
I’m hoping,

Cheers, -Paul, (RubberChicken)

Hi Paul
welcome to the club!
A Z1000ST is a very good choise. It was the first bike I bought new from a shop back in 1983.
Rides like a train on rails, an enormous amount of torcque, even at low revs, and very reliable.
I love them so much that I have 5 of them.
Show us some pics, we're all very curious.

Trust me on this I have known 'Rubber Chicken Paul' for years, we met as dispatch riders. The rubber chicken is indeed legendary, drivers would get really confused and not know how to react. An incredibly hilarious sight to behold I assure you!
