how many teeth on the gearbox spline?

I have a couple of unused ones but don't know if they are kickstart or J type.

Gary, there are 12.

Talon are £100+
B+C Express don’t supply them.
VVM Racing will do them for 68 euros, I suspect there will be postage on top.

Forgot to mention that it is with a collar for an outrigger bearing (52mm)

Scott, it may be worth seeing if anyone else needs one, as the prices will tumble with Talon, even with an order of just two or three.
Piggy organised a decent sized 'batch' for the kickstart motors a few years back, the savings were substantial.

Mark got the price down to £45 each when buying ten BUT you may as well just look on EBAY and get one from GRUMPY 1260 to save all the waiting.
GPZ1100 B - 5/8 offset ( also does 3/8 ).
16 to 19 teeth,
530 pitch.
66 Quid.

If you are buying the one from the GRUMPY ebay link it doesn't have a bearing nose so no need for a bearing.

The VVM Racing one can be supplied with the collar for the bearing, so would like to consider that option to. As you said Rob the Grumpy one has no provision for the bearing. I gather the bearing provides some support but would like to see some pics of how the bearing fits etc. VVM have sent me an image of the sprocket that i THINK i want. If anyone can provide an image of a bearing fitted then it may confirm what i'm looking at with VVM.

This is an offset with bearing nose fitted.
A 52mm 6304 bearing slips in after it's bolted up.
The bearing has a groove and clip on it's outer to stop the bearing going in too far or floating about.

This is an outrigger support that you will need which you can make or buy from D&G etc.
The four bolts hold an ally stub which simply slots into the centre of the bearing which is usually 20mm.
It also holds the clutch mech and supports the gearchange shaft.

This is a pic of the inside of the outrigger plate clearly showing support stub with the sprocket and bearing slotted on.

Unless you are planning loads of power you don't really need this and although running any offset will naturally put extra load on the output shaft bearing and shorten its life this is probably negligible on a stock or mildly tuned motor.

Here is the bearing and an ebay link to the cheapest.
